Earlier, State Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad said: “The flats would be given to those legislators who do not have a house in Mumbai and who do not represent any constituency in the city.
The beneficiary MLAs will be from areas outside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)”.
Awhad said that the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) would construct this housing complex in suburban Goregaon. There would be High Income Group (HIG) category flats in the flats,” he said.
