Due to sustained efforts by the Centre, 2,661 Indian fishermen have been repatriated from Pakistan since 2014, the Government informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. In a written response to a query, Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, also said the Government attaches high priority to the safety and welfare of Indian fishermen.
