MP adoption agency in-charge summoned
New Delhi: The Women and Child Development Ministry has summoned the in-charge of a Madhya Pradesh adoption agency next week, after reports emerged that a girl adopted from there was later abandoned in Spain.
Navy assists Norwegian ship in Gulf of Aden
New Delhi: Indian Naval ship ‘Teg’ assisted a Norwegian vessel with an all-Indian crew after its port anchor along with the entire 330 metres cable inadvertently slipped, thus restricting her speed and making it vulnerable in the pirate-infested Gulf of Aden, the Navy said on Wednesday.
PMO receives 12,787 RTI applications in 2016-17
New Delhi: The Prime Minister’s Office received 12,787 RTI applications during 2016-17, highest since 2012, according to an official data. There has also been an increase in number of appeals filed by citizens, aggrieved over initial response to their applications from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), it said.
