When it comes to explaining economics, even a top lawyer like Kapil Sibal relies on his party colleague and senior lawyer P Chidambaram. During the hearing on Aadhaar scheme, Sibal told a five-judge bench that the argument against Aadhaar being introduced as a money bill in Parliament will be dealt by Chidambaram. “He knows more about money than I do,” said Sibal, referring to Chidambaram . The judges wittingly remarked, “Maybe he (Chidambaram) knows more about the economy behind a money bill but when it comes to money, even you know the subject well.” Sibal is the undisputed leader of the bar, the reason why Chidambaram engaged him to defend his son Karti in multiple probes being made by law enforcement agencies.

Festival time
Raisina Hill, the centre of power, is nowadays bustling with tourists from all over the country and abroad. Generally, the movement on the road leading to this VIP area from Vijay Chowk is restricted. However, with the Mughal Garden in Rashtrapati Bhavan thrown open to general public for nearly a month, last week has seen a large number of visitors thronging the garden. Outside the majestic Rashtrapati Bhavan the tourists are enjoying the cheerful sun on the pavements of South and North Block and taking selfies, imparting a festive look to the otherwise officious atmosphere there.

Political observers are keenly watching the launch of Sharad Yadav's new outfit, 'loktantrik Janata Dal, ' on February 20. Sanitation park
like Sulabh International, a social organisation, which has displayed different types of toilets used over the years at its museum at Mahavir Enclave in Delhi, the Centre now also claims to have its own sanitation park at the CGO Complex in the national Capital. Union Minister of Water and Sanitation Uma Bharati recently inaugurated the sanitation park developed jointly by her Ministry, a Gujarat-based Environmental Sanitation Institute and Tata Trusts. It presents the opportunity for visitors to understand the various components like types of toilets and liquid and waste management besides other initiatives of the Government’s pet project Swachch Bharat Mission.
