PF scam: Allahabad HC CJ’s intervention sought
New Delhi: Activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan has written a letter to Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, also marked to CJI Justice Hl Dattu, seeking his immediate intervention in the Ghaziabad PF scam case to drop recovery proceedings against service providers given clean chit by CBI or made approvers.
Sunil Gupta’s book to be launched
New Delhi: Renowned chartered accountant and financial services advisor Dr Sunil Gupta has authored a book titled Thoughts Gallery which is a compilation of most of his blogs on a variety of subjects containing facts, impr-essions and opinions, concerning various national and international problems and issues that modern India is currently facing. The author refers the mandate of the General Elections 2014 as the turning point for India heightening expectations that the current Government will enable this country to realise its massive potential and make rapid progress.
ADMK seeks pm’s help for fishers’ release
New Delhi: Seeking a permanent solution to the problems faced by Tamil Nadu fishermen, a delegation of AIADMK MPs on Monday met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and demanded the Centre's immediate intervention for release of Indian fishermen languishing in lankan jails. The 49-member delegation led by senior AIADMK leader and Deputy Speaker M Thambi Durai also sought a special package of Rs1,520 crore for enhancing deep fishing facilities in Tamil Nadu.
