Srinagar records sub-zero temperature
Srinagar: Cold wave tightened its grip in Kashmir as Srinagar city recorded first sub-zero night temperature of the season, MET department said. The night temperature in Srinagar went below freezing point for the first time this season, with the mercury settling at minus 0.7 degree Celsius, a MET department official said.

Bandh over CHOGM fizzles out in TN
Chennai: Over 300 MDMK activists, including its general secretary Vaiko were, arrested for blocking train traffic as the dawn-to-dusk Tamil Nadu bandh called by pro-Eelam outfits demanding that India completely boycott CHOGM meet in Colombo got underway. Normal life remained unaffected due to the bandh for which police have made elaborate security arrangements. However, people who preferred to commute through railway faced hardship as some political parties staged rail-roko in various parts of the state which affected running of trains, police said.
Gujarat CM’s Media get-together today
Gandhinagar: After conducting virtual get-together for four days in all the 26 lok Sabha constituencies of the State through video-conferencing in last four days, Modi would host a media get-together at his residence on Wednesday. After the luncheon meeting with media personnel, he will attend Gujarat BJP parliamentary board meeting at 4 pm at the same venue.
