Press Trust of India

Security forces in Manipur have recovered 155 firearms, 1,652 rounds of ammunition, and multiple explosives during intelligence-led operations across five hill districts — Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Pherzawl, Tengnoupal, and Chandel. Among the seized items were AK-series rifles, carbines, pistols, country-made weapons, IEDs, mortars, and hand grenades. Joint teams from the police, Assam Rifles, army, and other agencies also recovered communication equipment and binoculars. Authorities termed the operation a major step toward restoring peace and urged public cooperation in maintaining law and order.
