Attacking the Delhi Government over its recent TV commercial, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav on Monday dubbed the advertisement as political-corruption by the Government.Yadav said the Government was using public money in glorifying one person despite the restrictions by the Supreme Court against such ads.
“This is a form of political corruption as it is using the public money for the advertisments.“The AAP had come to power by promising new type of politics. But by coming up with such advertisment, it is getting into the league of Mayawati and Jayalalitha,” the former AAP leader, who was expelled from the party after he upped the ante against Kejriwal, told reporters here.
last week, another Swaraj Abhiyaan leader and activists lawyer Prashant Bhushan in a series of tweets said the ad amounted to a “crass” projection of Kejriwal apart from being “crude abuse” of funds, which was “against” a Supreme Court order.
Prashant Bhushan also targetted the advertisement, dubbing it as abuse of the public funds and sough explaination over the money used to air the advertisent. The activist lawyer in a series of tweets said the ad amounted to a “crass projection” of Kejriwal, with over 11 mentions of him, apart from being “crude abuse” of public funds.
