The trade tax employees, after taking mass leave on Monday, protested against not filling vacant posts in the department. They took out the procession in Ghaziabad and warned the Government that if their demand is not fulfilled, they will protest in a much bigger way at State headquarters at lucknow on coming June 20th, 2018.
Under the banner of “trade tax ministerial staff association”, the trade tax employees went on mass leave and took out the procession from Trade Tax Office to Collectorate and presented a memorandum to the district magistrate.
The state level secretary of ministerial staff association Vipin Rathi said 1900 posts of senior assistant are still lying vacant since the elevation process has been put stand still from several years. 951 posts of principal assistant and 512 posts of junior assistants are still lying vacant despite clearance has been given by the state cabinet. But the notification has not been issued by the concern secretary of the UP government despite cabinet clearance. Due to the shortage on different posts in ministerial staff category the tremendous workload has been put on limited manpower in the trade tax department throughout the state.
Newly introduced GST system has not been adopted thoroughly and is beyond the understanding of the ministerial staff since no proper allocation has been granted to the working staff. It has put the limited manpower in further stress added Rathi. “We are forced to adopt the harsh method if our demands are not met by the government and we will go lucknow on coming June 20th if the deaf and dump officers ignore our genuine demands” added the union leader Rathi.
