After scripting history in Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir, BJP is upbeat to fight the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. With the emphatic victory in Jharkhand and remarkable performance in Jammu & Kashmir, the party is confident of its prospects of coming to power in the Capital.

Rubbishing AAP’s claims, BJP is hesitating to fight Assembly elections in January, BJP leader Vijender Gupta said, “We were confident of winning Assembly elections and the stupendous results in Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir has boosted party’s morale. 2014 has been a year for winners. And I am sure 2015 too will be.”

State BJP workers were cock-a-hoop after BJP emerged victorious by becoming the single-largest party with 42 seats in the mineral-rich State. Celebrations took off as soon as the poll results were announced for Jammu & Kashmir. “In Jammu & Kashmir the result has been better than what we expected it to be. Modi wave has reached Jammu & Kashmir so there is no question of BJP not making a mark in the national Capital. Prime Minister himself lives in the Capital and the recent State Assembly elections are a proof enough to predict BJP will attain a landslide victory in Delhi,” said Gupta.

Exuding confidence over winning the Delhi elections BJP leader Sanjay Kaul said, “We were already confident. The results in both Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand have been just how we imagined it to be. likewise, BJP is sure of winning the Assembly elections in the national Capital too.”

However Gupta said that BJP fared well even last year in 2013 with nearly 31 seats. “We are confident that 2015 will be BJP’s year too just like 2014. Modi wave will sweep the Capital,” he added. Other State leaders who thronged the party office at 14 Pt Pant Marg sounded upbeat too as Tuesday’s results have brought glad tidings for the ruling party at the Centre.
