A tragic accident on Mehrauli Badarpur road in the early morning of Tuesday led to the death of two people and left an unidentified person with major injuries.
According to a senior police officer, the car climbed the footpath and hit a tree which resulted in the death of a passerby and the driver of the car at around 6 am on Tuesday. DCP South Ankit Chauhan said, “On Tuesday at around 6 am, an information regarding an accident on MB road from Mehrauli to Badarpur carriage way( Opposite Saidulajab bus stop) was received at police staion Saket.”
The police team reached the spot and a Tata Altroz car was found on foot path and dead body of a man namely 28 year old Moolchand, who is a resident of Shiv Park in Khan Pur was lying on the road. A senior officer said that Moolchand was the passerby who got killed in the accident. Other two injured, including driver of the car and one other unknown person, were taken to hospital by the police.
