Turn anti-Cong wave into votes, Sushma exhorts party workers

Gearing up for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, leader of Opposition in the lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj motivated the young party workers to put their heart and soul to strengthen the BJP’s prospects in the polls.

“The mood of Delhiites is totally against Congress and the BJP workers needed to ensure that this anger gets converted into votes,” said Swaraj.

“The key for BJP’s victory in the coming Assembly polls in Delhi is in the hands of party cadres at the grass-root level. Effective polling booth management is going to make the real difference and the current exercise by the Delhi BJP of mobilising the party cadres through these sammelans is the right step in the right direction at the right time,” Swaraj said, while addressing the party cadres at the first “Karyakarta Sammelan” organised by the Delhi BJP.

Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said, “The party cadres will be visiting every household and they would be equipped with the facts and figures to explain how this scam-ridden and ineffective Government has failed to deliver on any front.”

BJP will organise 280 Karyakarta Sammelans till August 4 and mobilise its teams at all 11,763 polling booths in Delhi.

Through these meetings, the party is training its 3.5 lakh identified cadres and has constituted more than 11,000 teams. Each team has 32 members and each team is manning one particular polling booth.
