In a horrific incident in Northeast Delhi's Seelampur, a 4-year-old girl child was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 17-year-old tenant living in the same building as the victim, police said on Wednesday.
"The accused is a neighbour who stays in the same building. He took the child to a room and tried to assault her by touching her private parts. The 17-year-old is currently absconding," Joint Commissioner of Police (Eastern Range) RS Yadav said.
"The statement of the mother has been recorded and the victim has been provided with medical assistance. The victim is currently with her parents," he added.
This incident comes just days after a Class III girl was molested by her neighbour in Northwest Delhi's Swaroop Nagar on Monday evening.
