In this admission season, St Stephen’s College is ready for the film shooting of Half Girlfriend, movie based on the book of renowned novelist Chetan Bhagat.

The entire cast including lead actors Arjun Kapoor and Shhradha Kapoor are going to be shooting in the lawns, classrooms and auditorium of the college, for a week.

Amid the admission season, the college security is quizzing every individual before allowing them an entry.

“The film crew has already set up the equipment and the shooting is going to start on June 9 and end on June 16...The film producers have booked classrooms, lawns, corridors and auditorium for the filming. Both lead actors are going to be present throughout the shooting,” an official of St Stephen’s College told The Pioneer.

The college has stepped up the security and the film crew also has a separate security arrangement. “No one is allowed entry to avoid unnecessary crowding on the college premises. Even professors of the college would have to show the identification card. Media entry has also been restricted,” he added.

St Stephen’s college has been the ideal destination for Bollywood on many occasions. Recently, the Ranbir Kapoor starer Rockstar was also shot in the same college.

“The permission is taken from the principal for any such activity and there is a daywise payment which the film producers have to contribute to the college. In case of any damage to the infrastructure, while carrying heavy equipment, the college has a deal with the film producer that it would be repaired by them before exiting,” added the college official.

Sources of the university revealed that the film crew was being shot at Miranda House on Wednesday. However, no one confirmed from the college.
