The admission season of the Delhi University will start with St Stephen’s College going first with the online registrations for this academic session on Saturday. As the college has completely turned its admission process online this time, the students will receive updates on confirmation of their forms and other important information through SMS and e-mails. For the physically disabled students, the college has taken initiatives to provide on-campus assistance, in case they face any technical difficulty.

“The application process will start in the morning and there would be no changes in the structure of the form. Only, the candidates need to carefully follow the directions given once they start to fill the form. Before starting, they'll have to make an account by giving a username as well as a password, which will assist them further, as they would not need to complete the online form in one sitting. They may access their form and modify the information as many times as they like prior to submission. Every mandatory field in each section must be filled before it is submitted," said KM Mathew, the tutor for admissions at the college.

Mathew said as soon as the form is submitted, a confirmation mail or SMS would be sent to the candidates, which will further proceed with another mail after receiving the payment.

For differently-abled students, the application process is going to be free of cost and they will be counselled in the college. While Mathew briefed on the application process, he said that in the category selection system, the computer will assist them in such a way that instead of being directed to the payment gateway, they will be directed to either upload a scanned copy of their disability certificate to continue with the submission of the online form, or send the copy of disability certificate through email. He said they can also take the print out of the form and send the disability certificate along with it directly to the college.
