The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Wednesday proposed to give property tax exemption to the families of Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel martyred or injured in the line of duty.
Olympian sportsmen and medal winners in Commonwealth and Asian Games will also come under the ambit of the exemption, the SDMC said in a statement. The exemption will also apply to municipal employees who sustained injuries while at work and to families of those who have died.
