A Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) principal alleged that a school inspector during inspection molested and asked for sexual favours on Thursday afternoon in West Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area.
According to police, the incident took place on Thursday morning when the accused, identified as Mahipal (40), visited the school for an inspection. After completing the inspection of the school, he visited a room where some furniture was burnt. He questioned the woman principal of the school regarding the burnt furniture and the cause behind it. Seizing the opportunity, he touched her inappropriately. When the principal fobbed off his advances he asked her to calm down and demanded sexual favours. The victim somehow managed to run out of the room. She immediately informed police and based on her complaint, a case was registered.
“A case under Sections 354/354A and 341 has been registered at Nihal Vihar police station. The accused was arrested soon after the incident. Further investigations are underway,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Ranvir Singh.
