Roll of honour for Class XII toppers

SR

To acknowledge the efforts put in by the students of Government schools and the results achieved by them, a felicitation programme was organised by the Directorate of Education (DoE) wherein the stream wise toppers of Class XII in Government schools of Directorate of Education were honoured by the Principal Secretary (Education) and Director (Education).

The four toppers who stood first among various streams were gifted with a dictionary and a wristwatch each —  Rishabh Choudhary, topper from commerce; Kulvinder Singh, topper from science; Surbhi Sharma, topper from Arts and Amita Yadav, topper from vocational studies.

The Principal Secretary and Director of DoE also interacted with all the students and enquired about their future plans. The students were also advised to keep their targets high and continue working hard so that they achieve greater success in life. Meanwhile to enhance support towards women’s empowerment and strengthen the poor strata of society, the DoE is making best efforts to acquire more land from the landowning agencies to open new schools in the Capital.

To defuse the prevalent logjam due to insufficient land, the Directorate of Education has decided to relax the land requirements for different levels of schools and match them directly with CBSE norms so that more private societies can come forward to open new schools.
