As the odd-even formula begins in the national Capital for the second time, the restaurant owners are planning attractive offers to attract gourmet.
This time around some restaurant owners are coming out with innovative offers to attract the customers like providing free home delivery service, giving good discount and the most interesting one is paying 20 per cent on total fare of cab.
The promotional offer has been started by a restaurant, Storm Bar & Grill that is located in East of Kailash in Southeast Delhi.
Talking to The Pioneer, Deepak Kapoor, spokesperson of the Bar said, “We had a birthday party of 60 people on April 16. The host later called us and cancelled the booking because of odd-even, saying half of his friends can’t get there. The odd-even rule affects the restaurant business badly and there is usually a dip of 20-25 per cent in footfall during the day”.
Another restaurant HotMess Kitchen & Bar located at Connaught Place has started a promotional offer of 15 per cent off on the total fare of cab.
“There is a consistent footfall in our restaurant but we can’t ignore the effect of odd-even as earlier during the odd-even rule the hotel business saw a drastic foot-fall decline. We are offering 15 per cent off on total cab fare,” said spokesperson of HotMess Kitchen & Bar.
There are also restaurants that have gone a step ahead and are providing 100 per cent cab reimbursement to the customers. There are some restaurants, which are offering free drinks during odd-even.
Another famous restaurant lights Camera & Action- Air Bar located in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden has flagged off another creative offer in which they will negotiate the footfall with the number of drinks offered to their visitors.
The spokesperson Vivek said, “On even days if you order three drinks, you will get three more drinks free to make it six, which is an even number. While on odd days if you order four drinks, you will get three more to make it seven, which is an odd number”.
Café Oh My God and Junkyard Cafe located in Connaught Place has offered 100 per cent waiver on their cab fares. Pirates of Grill has introduced two new drinks called Odd Route and Even Route, which are being given complimentary on those days and will be available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions.
