In a crackdown on quacks, a team of Delhi Medical Council doctors caught an allopathy “doctor” who was running clinics without having any medical degree.

He was running illegal clinics at two locations in Kapasheda area of South West Delhi with two different names, according to officials.

The survey was conducted by Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) last week, in which a quack with two fake names — DN Yadav and Dinanath Yadav — was caught.

According to the DMC official, over 300 cases are still pending with the Delhi Police which have been identified by DMC against illegal quacks in the past two years on which police officials have not taken any action.  Speaking to The Pioneer, Dr. Girish Tyagi, Registrar, DMC said, “The quack was running two clinics at different locations. Every time we lodge complaints with the Delhi Police to arrest these quacks but no action was taken by the law enforcing agency.”

DMC moved the Dwarka Court for the arrest of the quack. “It was on the orders of the court, that police filed an FIR but the quack was out on bail,” he said. However, the quack filed a petition before the Delhi High Court for quashing of the charges against him but the rejected the same, said Tyagi.
