Dissident AAP MlA Pankaj Pushkar was escorted out of the Delhi Assembly by the marshals on Monday after he attacked his Government on the Education Bills that was tabled by Education Minister Manish Sisodia last week. Meanwhile, leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta was also made to leave the House for an hour after he brought up the issue of AAP MlA SK Bagga being allegedly involved in corruption scandal and insisted on playing an audio clip where Bagga could be heard asking for a bribe.
Pushkar also raised the issue of lakhs of students of Government schools “failing” the mid-term exam. “Out of 3 lakh Class IX students studying in Delhi Government schools, 2.5 lakh failed the mid-term exams. Government doesn’t want to take up the issue in the Assembly,” he said.
Calling the Education Bills introduced in the Assembly as anti-people, Pushkar alleged that the Bills are actually aimed to protect some private school owners and not to improve the education system. BJP MlA, and leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta was also asked by the Speaker to leave the House for an hour.
