Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken on Tuesday said the results of Class X Board examination have exposed the tall claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party Government as only 78.62 per cent students managed to pass the exams in the national Capital.
Maken said while the national average of pass percentage stands at 86.70 per cent, Delhi's performance falls below the national average by 8.08 per cent. He said the pass percentage of schools in Delhi was an impressive 99.81 per cent in 2014. "From 2011 till 2014, it was over 99 per cent. Since the AAP Government came in power, it is declining every year," he said.
Maken also said 1.47 lakh students from Delhi passed the exam in 2013-14. It came down to 1.24 lakhs in 2015, 1.17 lakhs in 2016 and in 2017 only 1.09 lakh students passed exam.
