Nothing found in 500 raids in 3 months, says Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said hundreds of raids by central agencies to find evidence against his deputy Manish Sisodia have yielded nothing as he didn't do anything.

In a tweet, Kejriwal said that over 500 raids have been carried out in three months, "yet nothing has been found". “500 raids… more than 300 officials have been working 24*7 for three months.

“They all are trying to find proof against one Manish Sisodia,” he tweeted in Hindi, referring to his deputy. “Nothing has been found, because there is no proof... because nothing was done," he stressed. “Time of hundreds of sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is being wasted for dirty politics", he said.

“Due to dirty politics, such officers are losing their precious time. How will the country progress like this?" Kejriwal further tweeted in an apparent attack on the BJP.  He has made similar comments in the past as the probe deepened in the liquor policy case after a CBI investigation was recommended by Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena in July. Kejriwal’s tweet comes after the ED raided about 35 locations in Delhi, Punjab and Hyderabad earlier in the day in connection with its money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy.

The ED and CBI investigation has also led to a massive BJP-AAP stand-off as the rival party accuses the  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of corruption. Kejriwal, Sisodia and other AAP leaders, however, have dismissed these allegations.
