Noida residents protest against builder

Over 400 residents, including 100 women and children, on Sunday staged a protest in Noida Sector 76 against Skytech Matrott builder for delay in procuring completion certificates from the Noida Authority.

Residents were found complaining that even around 1,000 residents have started living in the society without registry. They had purchased stamps before possession. But the builder is not willing to take completion certificates from the Authority.

Holding banners and shouting slogans, the residents said that the builder has delivered 716 flats to the buyers. Also, 450 families out of them have moved into their apartments.

Residents are also facing problems related to parking space, malfunctioning of lifts, entry fees for domestic helpers, car cleaners, and dry cleaners even after they charge maintenance charges. Residents said that if they raise any issue, they are being exploited with power cuts and water supply cuts.

“We are already facing problems and the stamp duty and circle rates are about to go up. It will be an extra burden for us. If builder gets completion, then it will become easy for all. We even purchased stamp-papers earlier but our houses are yet not registered,” said Amit Bansal, a protester.

The officials from the builder have told the residents that they have processed all papers for completion to the Noida Authority and they will get it soon.
