North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) has sealed two properties at Pooth Kalan in Narrela Zone for misusing spaces. The action was taken on the direction of the Supreme Court-Appointed Monitoring Committee.
In a drive that was started in December last year, the civic bodies have sealed thousands of shops for non-payment of conversion charges, encroachment, and illegal construction.
The Supreme Court appointed Monitoring Committee which was revived on December 15 this year, has three members including KJ Rao, former advisor to the Election Commission, Bhure lal, chairman of Environment Pollution Prevention & Control Authority (EPCA) and Major General (retd) Som Jhingan.
