New Delhi: Senior Delhi Congress leader and dalit face of State politics, former MLA Jai Kishan on Saturday paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 31st death anniversary at Vir Bhumi in the national Capital and distributed fruits, clothes , sarees and sweets to patient in Sanjay Gandhi hospital, Bhagwan Mahavir hospital and Ambedkar hospital. Speaking with his party workers on the occasion, Jai Kishan said Rajiv was a visionary leader whose policies helped shape modern India and he brought computer revolution in the country. Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar, along with senior party leaders, paid floral tributes to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary at the Delhi Congress office. Besides Anil Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Shaktisinh Gohil, former Union minister Jagdish Tytler, former MP Ramesh Kumar, former MLA Anil Bharadwaj and several other leaders also paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi.
cm releases book on ‘right angle of governance’
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Saturday released the book ‘Right Angle of Governance’, authored by Lavkesh Chandra, at the Chief Minister's residence. According to a statement issued by Delhi Assembly, the rule of various parties in independent India over the last 75 years has been discussed in this book, with the common public as the central figure.In the book ‘Right Angle of Governance’, the author has highlighted the flaws of current governance in detail using facts, leaving a legacy of good governance for future generations.
479 fresh covid cases reported in capital
New Delhi: Delhi reported 479 new Covid cases and one death due to the disease on Saturday while the positivity rate was 2.06 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.With the new cases, Delhi's COVID-19 caseload increased to 19,03,189 and the death toll rose to 26,200. A total of 23,214 Covid tests were conducted here a day ago, the department said in its latest bulletin.
