Mystery shrouds he death of Samajwadi Party (SP) secretary of Gautam Buddh Nagar district Anil Kumar Yadav, who was found murdered in his house in Noida’s Sector 71 on Monday morning. Police have registered a case and preliminary investigation revealed that it could be a handiwork of some one who is closed to the deceased. Police have booked two persons, including a woman, after a complaint lodged by family members of the slain SP leader.
Police said that incident took place late night when Sunita, wife of deceased’s brother Sunil Yadav, received a call on her mobile that Anil has been killed in his flat in Jagriti Apartment. She immediately informed her husband, who along with siblings reached the house where they found the victim in an unconscious state. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The family alleged the hand of Heena Khan, a close friend of the deceased, and her friends in the murder and lodged a complaint against them. “As Anil was also involved in realty trade, there was a long-pending dispute between him and Heena. We are sure she has committed the crime with the help of her friends.”
“As family members have suspected Heena and her friends, we have registered a case against them and are searching them at their possible hideouts. We have sent the body for a post-mortem exam and are scanning the call details of Anil. We have booked Heena and her friends under Section 302 of IP and are investigating the matter but things will be ascertained after the post-mortem report,” said a senior police official. Meanwhile, angry locals took traffic hostage and created stir at Sector 60 police post demanding immediate arrest of the accused persons. Protesters also blocked the roads for a few hours. The move was pacified after senior officials intervened.
