In a shocking incident reported from Delhi’s East district, a dismembered body of a 22-year-old tattoo artist was found in a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) park in Pandav Nagar area on Sunday, police said. According to police, the body was beheaded.

“A police control room (PCR) call was received at around 1:30 pm in Mayur Vihar police station on Sunday regarding a dismembered body found behind the buses of a patch at a Delhi Jal Board park in Pandav Nagar,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Pankaj Kumar Singh said.

“Police rushed to the spot where the body was found with the head chopped off from the rest of the body.

The body was immediately taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered at Mayur Vihar police station,” said the DCP.

“The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Babloo, a native of Bihar and tattoo artist by profession. During investigation it was revealed that Babloo was missing from home since Monday last. He had allegedly gone out with his friends and didn’t return. However, his family members didn’t lodge a missing complaint with the police and said that they were searching for him,” the DCP revealed.

According to the victim’s family, Bablu had reportedly left home on Monday evening last week with his friends. He allegedly told his family that he was going out with his friends. However, he didn’t return the next day.

Babloo’s brother told the police that there were instances in the past where he would leave and come back after two days, hence they did not lodge the complaint, police said.
