More than 100 schools including DPS Dwarka and Krishna Model in the national Capital received bomb threats on Saturday morning, which were later declared ‘hoax’ after thorough checking. The bomb threats were received via phone calls, and the authorities were contacted immediately.
The e-mail received at 6.10 am on Saturday came from a group, which called itself ‘Terrorizers111’. The group had earlier also sent similar e-mails to schools, sources in the police said. The subject of the e-mail mentioned “Bombs Placed in Your Building - React or Face the Disaster.”
The email read: “To the Administration and IT departments of all buildings, I am nothing but the definition of pure hatred. I am the child of evil, my existence makes gods fear me, my presence makes the mundane terrify. I am the untouchable one. My alias goes by 4zurf, aka owner of a terroristic group known by millions, aka Terrorizers 111. We have placed bombs around your building. You have 24 hours to disarm the bombs or you will face the blood pool.”
Officials of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said that they received information about 10 schools, including Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, CRPF Public School in Dwarka, and Mata Vidya Devi Public School in Najafgarh.
However, after thorough checking of the premises, they were declared a hoax, the official added. Bomb disposal squads and police teams were rushed to the campuses.
DPS Dwarka also postponed its midterm exams, citing “unavoidable circumstances.” “Dear Parents Kindly note that the school will remain closed today i.e Saturday, 20 September 2025 due to unavoidable circumstances. “All school buses and private vans/ cabs are being sent back immediately. Parents are requested to kindly be there at the stops to pick up their wards. Parents of private commuters must come to pick their wards in case they have dropped them to school. Mid term Exams scheduled for the day stand postponed. Fresh dates will be intimated shortly” stated the DPS Dwarka circular.
Students and staff members were evacuated as a precautionary measure, officials said. “We have thoroughly checked the campuses. Nothing suspicious has been found,” a senior police officer said. Authorities are probing the source of the threats and whether they were part of a coordinated attempt to create panic, police said.
Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal criticised the BJP?led government over a spate of bomb threats received by Delhi schools, saying that despite the threats, “in a year, no one has been caught, nor has any action been taken.” Kejriwal took the issue to social media platform X, writing: “Delhi’s schools are repeatedly receiving bomb threats. Panic has ensued everywhere, schools are shut down, and fear is spreading among children and parents… but in a year, no one has been caught, nor has any action been taken.”
He sharply attacked the government’s handling of the security situation, saying, “The four?engine BJP government can’t even manage the capital’s security. Parents are living in fear every day. When will all this end?”
Earlier incidents include hoax threats received by educational institutions in various parts of the city. Colleges in Delhi have also been targeted by recent bomb threats. On September 9, the University College of Medical Sciences received a threat via email, prompting a swift evacuation. In many past cases, searches were conducted by police, bomb disposal units and other security agencies, but no explosives or suspicious objects were found. Reports also suggest that the origins of many threats remain untraced.
