The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over sending Delhi Police in the middle of the night in an official event of the Delhi Government to gain popularity.
AAP leaders questioned when PM Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, did he put up photos of the then Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh in his programmes? “If that is the case, we will happily put his pictures in our events,” they said.
Addressing the media, Singh said, “PM Modi's hatred for CM Arvind Kejriwal has increased so much that he sent the Delhi Police to hijack an official event of Delhi Government to get his photo on the banners.
“This is a part of a series of events that are part of a larger conspiracy to sabotage the progress of the Delhi Government. Till now more than 150 fake cases have been registered against AAP leaders,” he said. “They cooked up stories to implant fake cases against Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. Their castles of lies collapsed in the case of Satyendar Jain after which, one of their leaders had to apologise. PM Narendra Modi is extremely fearful of CM Arvind Kejriwal's Delhi Model.
He cannot stop the juggernaut of the Kejriwal model. His immature and immoral actions will only increase Kejriwal's popularity. We should collectively think how a State Government will function if the country’s PM is blazing all his guns against it," Singh said.
“Prime Minister’s hate for Kejriwal has reached to an extent that he sent the Delhi Police to hijack the event of the Forest Department of the Delhi Government. He has stooped so low that he is not letting anyone organise any event if his photographs are not put in the event.
Van Mahotsav was organised by the Forest Department and in the closing ceremony, a video on the involvement of the children in the success of the event was supposed to be displayed in the closing ceremony," he claimed.
Taking a dig at the PM, Bhardwaj said, "On Environment Day, Modi government says that single use plastic should not be used but Modi's hoardings made of single use plastic has been put up all over. Due to his hate & jealousy towards the Delhi CM, all the hoardings from Civil Lines to Asola Bhatti Mines have been torn down”.
“PM Modi is so eager about his image that he wants his picture on every stage; this is like the film Raja Babu, in Govinda character imagined himself as Police inspector, sometimes as doctor and sometimes as lawyer; PM Modi is fond of putting his own photos in the same way.
The way the pictures of the rulers of Dubai & Qatar are installed in every shop & hotel there, it seems that soon a law is going to be made to put the picture of PM Modi everywhere in the country,” he said.
“All these events which panned out in the past few days are not mere coincidence. It is a well-laid conspiracy against the people of Delhi and Kejriwal. They first fiddled with Health Minister Satyendar Jain and got him arrested in a fake case which was going on for seven years but not an iota of evidence was found,” Bhardwaj added.
