An eight-year-old girl was raped by a security guard in Sector 56, Gurgaon on Friday afternoon. Police said even though the girl is out of danger, she is still critical.
The accused, identified as Babu Ram (52), on the pretext of giving her sweets took her to an isolated place and raped her in a brutal manner. “As the victim cried for help, locals came out to rescue her and found Babu Ram, who is also the victim’s neighbour, there. They then handed over him to the police. The victim was admitted to the civil hospital, which later referred her to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital as the girl needed surgery,” said Nazneen Bhashin (DCP)
East, Gurgaon. The victim’s parents were out of town. A case of rape has been registered at Sector 56 Police Station. The accused is a native of Sikandra in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh.
