A 10-year-old was allegedly raped by an unknown person on Wednesday night in South-East Delhi’s Govindpuri area.
The girl had reportedly gone missing following which a missing person’s diary was filed. The accused is a habitual offender. He used to fox unsuspecting minor girls by complaining to their parents for beating his nephew. Before the petrified victim could comprehend the real motive, he used to take them to a secluded undergrowth in Tughlakabad and rape them. Around five incidents of rape have been earlier reported from the same district.
According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday night. The girl was playing outside her residence in Tughlakabad. Her parents came out to look for her around 8 pm and could not trace her. The girl returned home around 11 pm in a dishevelled state with bruises all over her body. The girl told her parents that an unknown person that threatened her of getting her beaten up by her parents and taken her to a wooded area and outraged her modesty.
Police was informed and the girl was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre. A case of rape under appropriate Section of IPC has been registered.
