According to the MCG, the plastic will be cleaned and removed in the centre and will be packed and taken to the bitumen mixer plant. It will be mixed with bitumen in mixer plant and it will be used in road construction. This project was set up by KK Plastic West Management Company a Bangalore based firm.
“The project will help to conserve the environment by properly disposing of the plastic waste, while, the roads formed by a mixture of plastic will be much stronger and longer. Successful work is being done by the company in Bangalore,” said Yashpal Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Gurugram.
“Under the pilot project of the Municipal Corporation, 100-meter road was constructed in the month of December using plastic waste. It has positive results and plastic will now be used in all the bitumen roads that will be created in the future,” Yadav said.
