Maruti Suzuki has taken proactive steps to ensure environmental friendly initiatives and avoid hazardous processes at its dealership level. They have adapted new technology to increase energy efficiency, save paper and reduce water consumption.
Water wash process has been replaced with cleaning using eco-friendly wash chemicals. They use bio-degradable dry chemicals to reduce water consumption by over 216 million litres per annum. For repairing minor dents without stripping the paint, paint-less dent repair system has been introduced.
With an aim to go paperless, all job cards are opened through tablets, customer feedback is captured through telephonic surveys and E-feedbacks and the company plans to provide only CD-ROM based manuals to eliminate use of papers.
The company has been working with its dealers for improving the environmental performance of its service stations all over India that service over 1.7 crore vehicles in a year.
