According to records of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, 545 farmhouses and 31 motels operate in the Narela Zone while the Civil lines Zone has 23 farmhouses and two motels. Officials said only 12 of these farmhouses in Narela Zone have been given completion certificate.
“Only 25 farmhouses - 23 in Narela and 2 in Civil lines zones — are permitted to be used for marriage purposes. Sealing action against nine farmhouses in Narela Zone has been executed while five cases are pending in the court,” NDMC officials said.
