After taking over as president of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Manoj Tiwari the lok Sabha member from North East Delhi seat said he will ask his party MlAs and municipal councillors to submit their bank details on the lines of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directions.
“PM and the BJP president Amit Shah have shown trust in me. BJP workers and MlAs will work in unison for the betterment of Delhi. Yes... I will ask MlAs and councillors to show their full support on demonetisation,” said the Bhojpuri actor turned BJP MP.
Tiwari attacked regime of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by saying, “We (BJP) do not believe in Ran-niti, we do believe in Karyaniti and for this transformation we are here as Delhi needs development.”
When asked about his strategy to counter the AAP-led Government of Arvind Kejriwal who swept Delhi with the promise of fighting against corruption , Tiwari said, “We will fight against such people who claim to fight anti-corruption but oppose demonetisation. With party workers, we will visit every home to make people aware about the benefits of cashless economy”, the newly elected president said.
Tiwari said his focus will be uplift of the lowest strata of society. “I do not like the word ‘Jhuggi vaale’ often used by the AAP Government. Unlike the AAP Government, we will not use them as our vote bank. Instead, we will involve the people in the process of developments by winning their heart,” he said.
When asked about “being purbiiya” and how it will help to BJP in the city, Tiwari said, “The appointment should not be categorised on regional line as I have earned the love of all and will work honouring all. I will seek help of the seniors in the party and work with the motto Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Dilli Ka Ullas.”
