The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, Adesh Gupta, and former State president, Member of Parliament (MP) Manoj Tiwari distributed food, medicines and dry ration among needy people at vaccination centres.
Gupta said that in the past year during the pandemic the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government distributed free ration to the needy and poor for the whole year but due to shortcomings of the Kejriwal Government’s distribution policy, many of these people could not benefit from it.
“In fact it was a deliberate move on the city Government’s part which led people to migrate out of Delhi to their hometowns. Even this time seeing the pandemic, the Modi Government has announced two months’ free ration whereas Kejriwal is again politicking into this and thereby depriving needy and poor of their rightful due,” he said.
“These people who are suffering because of repeated lockdown here can’t be left at the mercy of Kejriwal.
“This is why our party has taken several welfare steps with the motto of ‘Sewa hi Sangthan’ under which dry ration and fruits are being given to them,” he said.
