A 70-year-old man was stabbed to death by his son over monetary issue in northwest Delhi’s Wazirpur area. The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Pal, a resident of JJ Colony Wazirpur.
Police received information on Thursday that one Mahendra Pal, having knife injury was admitted in Deepchand Bandhu Hospital by his wife Shanti Devi, said police.
The statement of complainant Shanti Devi was recorded where she alleged that a quarrel took place between her husband and son Anil (40) on the issue of money, a senior police official said.
During quarrel, Anil attacked deceased with knife and ran away. Thereafter, a case under section 302 (murder) was registered and accused Anil was apprehended, the officer said, adding that further investigation is in progress
