A man committed suicide after his 29-year-old daughter alleged that he had been sexually assaulting her since her childhood. The incident came to light after the victim approached the Govindpuri police station and filed a case.
It has been revealed that her accused father was not only molesting her but had started to rape her too. Unable to take it anymore, the victim decided to approach the staff of Govindpuri police station and lodged a written complaint about her father who had been tormenting her since she was a minor girl.
According to the police, the victim resides at a shelter home in Wazirabad. She told the police that her father had been abusing her since ages and her ordeal started after he molested her for the first time. He later on raped her at several occasions.
Tortured by her father’s deeds, she decided to lodge a complaint. On the basis of the victim’s statement, a case of rape was registered at Govindpuri police station. Before police officials could begin investigations the father consumed Sulphos tablets and attempted suicide. He was under treatment at the AIIMS hospital and passed away on Tuesday morning.
Family members claimed that he went under depression after a case was registered as he was unable to face the family members and his relatives. He took an extreme step, said the police official.
