A 56-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a Delhi Metro train on Thursday.
The incident took place around 3.30 pm at the Janakpuri West station when a man identified as D Chawala jumped before the train, a senior metro security official said. Chawla, a resident of Vikaspuri, was killed on the spot, said the official, adding that police are investigating the matter. In an another incident, a man jumped from the elevated platform area of the Jhandewalan station around 9 am, the official said.
The 35-year-old unidentified man has been admitted to a hospital, said the official, adding that police are probing the case.
