A man killed himself after executing a murderous assault on his live-in partner at their house in Naka on Sunday morning.

As per reports, the man, identified as Hridesh aka Guddu Rajput of Chittakheda locality of Bazaarkhala, was in a live-in relationship with Shanti of Faizabad.

They were living at a house on rent in Motinagar locality of Naka for the last two years. On Sunday morning, Guddu had a verbal spat with Shanti as he doubted her loyalty and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon.

Shanti suffered injuries on her throat and Guddu fled the scene leaving her in a pool of blood. After the incident came to the notice of some their neighbours, they alerted the police and Shanti was rushed to Trauma Centre of KGMU.

Meanwhile, Guddu reached railway tracks near Amausi railway station where he jumped before a moving train number 14221 around 10.15 am on Sunday, about half an hour after he attacked his live-in partner.

The train driver informed Amausi railway station master who, in turn, alerted the police and a police team, led by inspector Anil Singh from Sarojini Nagar, reached the scene,

The police team recovered a mobile number from the pocket of the man who had jumped before the train. On that basis, the police contacted his family and it surfaced that Guddu had attacked his wife before he ended his life.

“The train driver saw him jumping before the train and so in the light of his statement it was a case of suicide,” the police spokesman opined. He said the doctors had stitched the wounds Shanti suffered and she was out of danger.
