Delhi Police Crime Branch has collected admission related documents of 17 students out of the 25 who took admission in Delhi University colleges allegedly on forged documents. The main conspirator Indrajeet alias Kaku and his associate Himanshu are still absconding.

Also, the sleuths have conducted raids at several places, including many areas in the national Capital region (NCR), in search of two more accused in the DU admission racket. Four persons have already been arrested in connection with the forged documents.

Sources in the crime branch told The Pioneer that forged documents have been seized from various colleges including Hindu, Kirorimal, Aurobindo and Bhagat Singh. The teams of crime branch visited theses colleges and also questioned several lower rank staff members.

As of now the documents related with 17 students have been seized and the verification is being done. Most of the students had submitted forged ST/ST/OBC certificates to get admissions. These forged documents were provided by the syndicate members. According to a senior police officer, the college students are also on the radar of investigators who have taken admission on the basis of forged documents. The students will be charge-sheeted in the case if their involvement is established, source said.
