While reacting for not reducing fares of DTC from January 1, leader of Opposition (lOP) in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta has said it is the failure of Delhi Government.
"The fact that the Government is incapable of implementing even simple administrative decisions in time," said Gupta.
"The former lieutenant Governor (l-G) had directed the Delhi Government on December 16 in order to reduce pollution levels in the city. The Government has assured that the reduction will be implemented from the New Years Day. But even after more than a fortnight, the AAP Government has failed to give concrete shape to the decision. And the matter is still pending with different departments," Gupta claimed.
BJP leader has accused the Kejriwal Government of being too preoccupied with election politics in other States. "As the things stand today, it will still take many days before the public could be provided relief.
“The Government has sought comments from various departments. The proposal will be prepared and sent to l-G for approval. After this, the Government will issue notification for fare reduction. The formalities are likely to take many more days still," he said.
