Delhi Police has arrested a 30-year-old law faculty member of Delhi University for allegedly misbehaving and beating a police constable in Campus law Centre on Monday afternoon.
He was arrested on Monday night and a case has been registered under Section 186, 332 and 353 of the IPC at Maurice Nagar police station. The accused has been identified as Rakesh Meena. "The incident took place on Monday during a protest by parents and children. After an hour, administration called the police control room and informing about the protest," a senior police officer said. The accused intervened and started misbehaving with the police. "They tried to stop but he slapped the police constable," the officer said.
