lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Monday reviewed progress of Swachchhta initiatives taken by the three municipal corporations and advised Commissioners to develop a common mobile App to monitor any deficiencies in Swatchchhta initiatives. Baijal also directed officials to ensure proper lighting arrangement in and around all toilets complexes along with a separate sewerage water connection for the toilets. Setting a deadline for implementation of proposed mechanical sweeping of roads and solid waste management, he said all the related works should be completed within eight months. Baijal was informed that the South Delhi Municipal Corporation has redeveloped 45 markets, while east and north corporations are also in the process of developing markets in their areas.
