Delhi Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) president Manoj Tiwari on Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed multilevel parking and commercial complex at Krishna Nagar of East Delhi.

The parking which is constructed by East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has capacity to accommodate 200 Cars.

Speaking on the occasion, Tiwari said that the EDMC is taking all efforts to provide basic facilities to the citizens using its own resources. Alleging the Delhi Government for being “apathetic” towards developing facilities in the area, he said that the Corporation completed the project without any financial assistance from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi Government.

He said that with the development of parking facilities in E-Block, Krishna Nagar, the visitors and residents can park their cars.

EDMC Mayor Bipin Bihari Singh said that multilevel car parking and commercial complex has been developed in an area of 1740 square meter at a cost of Rs 24 crores by EDMC. “It took 24 months to complete the project. This complex is equipped with modern facilities like CCTV, lift, power back-up and fire fighting system,” he said.

In another event of EDMC, Dr Harshvardhan laid the foundation stone of car parking with capacity to accommodate 150 Cars and a commercial Complex at old committee office premises at Anaj Mandi Shahdara. The civic body will develop the facility on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
