Reacting to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's letter to lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung over scrapping the appointment of Krishna Saini as chairperson of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said the tweet and statement of Kejriwal show his rigid attitude.
Recalling the controversy in the appointment of Swati Maliwal on the post of DCW Chairperson last year, Upadhyay said the Kejriwal Government had confrontation with the l-G at that time too but as they shed controversy and send concerned file to the l-G following the laid down procedure, Swati Maliwal's appointment was approved immediately.
If the CM feels that the work of the present Chairman of DERC is good then he should seek the approval of the l-G the same way he had sought on the file regarding Swati Maliwal. If the appointment process will be lawful by following then it will be approved.
