Kejriwal's bribery redux

Despite getting a notice from the Election Commission on Tuesday afternoon regarding the bribery allegation on Congress and BJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday again reiterated that the two rival parties offer money to people during a rally at Krishna Nagar Assembly constituency.

He also, like the other two times during Uttam Nagar and Trilokpuri rallies, asked residents to accept the money from them but vote for AAP instead. Kejriwal’s logic for the same was that since those two parties have eaten the money of the people, they deserve to take it back but in order to deceive them they should not vote for either of the two.

“leaders from BJP will come and give you money now to get your vote. Make sure you take the money because it is your money which they took from you after they betrayed you. Take your money back but betray them back by voting for AAP. Deceive them by giving them false hope,” said the former Chief Minister.

Kejriwal added that the media had blown this comment of his out of proportion after the Uttam Nagar rally. “The media has been raising a big hue and cry about my accusing the Congress and BJP of bribery. But why should I not say it when it is true,” he said. Kejriwal was issued a notice for the same on Tuesday from the Election Commission.
