Civic body leaders criticised the Delhi Government's claim on vector-borne diseases and said Arvind Kejriwal is trying to take political advantages by confusing people.
East Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Anju said all the major awareness programmes regarding vector-borne diseases are carried out by corporations.
"We are running various awareness drives to make people aware of its prevention. Our dengue breeding checkers visit each and every house to check mosquito breeding.
“Officials from health department keep visiting areas to make people aware about the diseases. I do not know why the government is taking credit of it," she added.
Standing Committee member and former Mayor Bipin Bihari said the AAP Government has done nothing besides making people fool. A North corporation official said the body has taken every possible effort within limited resources to tackle vector borne diseases.
The Kejriwal Government has not even released corporation's due as recommended by various finance commission but claiming it is because of them, the cases has come down.
