The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will provide every woman one thousand rupees every month after forming the government in Uttarakhand, party National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said while announcing his fourth guarantee on Tuesday.

Kejriwal said said every women in the family  above 18 will get the aid after AAP voted to power in the state. "Out of Uttarakhand’s budget of 55 thousand crore rupees, about 11 thousand crore rupees goes into the pockets of the leaders, he alleged.

"We will stop the loot and the money that these leaders sent to the Swiss Bank will now go into the pockets of women," he said.

The AAP Convenor stated that he is the only one who gives electricity, education and water for free and now he is going a step ahead to give thousand rupees to each woman. He announced that this time women will take the onus of choosing the government in Uttarakhand and decide who to vote for.

Kejriwal concluded by saying that the people in Uttarakhand have given opportunities to BJP and Congress for 20 years, now they should give a chance to the AAP for just five years, and reject them if they do not deliver.

Speaking about his guarantees for the people of Uttarakhand, the AAP Convenor said, “Till now, I have announced three guarantees for Uttarakhand. First was regarding electricity: We know that despite Uttarakhand being a prime electricity generating state, the people face power cuts that last 7-8 hours. On the other hand, Delhi buys its electricity from external sources, from states like Uttarakhand – yet we are able to provide free and uninterrupted electricity. Similarly, we guaranteed that we will provide free 24x7 electricity in Uttarakhand as well once we come to power," he added.

“The second guarantee was to ensure jobs for the many capable minds facing unemployment in the state. Due to the lack of jobs, they feel compelled to leave their homes and settle in our states and countries," he added.

Talking about the third guarantee, he said “The third guarantee we gave was one of free Tirth Yatra for the elderly. Everyone knows the age-old tale of Shravan Kumar, the ideal son who ensured to take his parents to make pilgrimage. So a free pilgrimage or Tirth Yatra scheme is already running in Delhi, where the Delhi Government facilitates these tours for people free of cost and includes sacred sites such as Dwarka, Shirdi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura-Vrindavan, Ajmer Sharif, and so on. It has already been implemented in Delhi, and the same will be done here in Uttarakhand.”
